Context for Today’s Poem, “Golden Lamp”

Each year, I am entranced by this display of forsythia in a garden two blocks from my house. The color is startling and brilliant, and, unlike, is complement, the blue and white scilla that carpets our city, it is boldly upright.
Yesterday, I got to see it behind a haze of spring snow–a true emblem of our weather this April.
Happy Easter!
LESLIE
I think it combines Easter and Halloween with a clever popular culture reference! (Note to self: must look up Jon Bon Jovi!)
I like knowing that we both admire these windows. I often think fondly of our photographic collaborations on Northfield architecture.
Hoping our paths will cross in 2026!
I also take note of that particular forsythia every spring.
Again enjoying (and admiring) your one-poem-a-day for the month of April.
A skeleton Easter Bunny. Now, that’s a first! Happy Easter!
