Hosta Bloom in Our Garden

I have loved hostas every since I moved to Minnesota and learned about them, but for me the attraction has been their magnificently various and gigantic leaves. This year, for the first time, I have been looking closely at the hosta blooms along our front walk.

When I took this image, I decided to make a “postcard” of it without a frame because I wanted to share the photograph in as large a format as possible.

  1. Thank you for your comment, Bonnie Jean, and for my new motto: “Pandemic Pause = Silver Lining”!

  2. Thanks for this post, Leslie. I am privileged to have many varieties of hosta in my garden and I have always celebrated the rich beauty of the leaves while almost dismissing the blossoms that appear later in the season, Thank you for inspiring me to look more closely at the beauty of these delicate flowers.
