Rare Wild Turkey Spotted in Northfield! Happy Thanksgiving Day!

Just Food Coop, where I currently work part-time, is filled with exceptional and unusual produce and products, as well as lively and imaginative people, the co-workers and the customers alike.

Recently, I spotted, across the floor, this unique chapeau sported by Rich Bissonette. It was made by his wife, Lacey, who has a sewing business called “Crafty Little Stitch.”  I admire the way this fleece hat serves up the holiday flair of the turkey with a hearty helping of the winged god, Mercury, along with a soupçon of Viking-Norseman flair. For a person who is in an out of coolers on the job, I suspect that the fleecy warmth is practical as well!

Thanks, Rich, for kindly allowing me to snap some photos and share the moment on my blog. To see more work by Lacey Neumann Bissonette, click HERE.

Wishing you a hearty helping of all you are grateful for! LESLIE

P.S. Here is what I am thankful for…

  1. It takes a real man to wear a turkey hat his wife made for him. 🙂 It’s great. Love to Tim and Julia–and to you! And happy Thanksgiving to all.

  2. Thanks, Bev! Julia is home, and last evening we looked at the scrapbook of her kindergarten year. There you were, with Julia, at your house, the two of you playing with your doll house! Thank you for your friendship all these years!
