Homo aspirāns
It seems our common fate:
to draw our last breath
on an inconvenient date
hoping for better than death.

Dear Readers, This morning, I inadvertently sent the day’s poem out under tomorrow’s date. Hence, two poems in one day, to catch up with deadlines properly labeled. Tomorrow, perhaps, an “April 9, Part II” — or perhaps we’ll observe a day of silence. Time will tell! Leslie

How wonderful you found a headstone with the name “Bye!” Happy to have two poems in one day.
In my world of birding, I often say to myself at the end of the day, “It was a two snowy owl (or whatever I’ve noticed) day. Life is good!”
Same with poems for me. So a happy mistake if a mistake it must be.
!!
Thanks for the posts, Leslie!
Hi Ted,
Your comment brought a much-needed laugh at the end of a somewhat stressful day–and I am still smiling! Leslie
It may not be a sonnet,
but accolades upon it.
I keep reminding myself that deadlines are my friends….
Love the macabre and visual humor!
