First Friday Arts Night on June 1, 2018

​Everyone is invited to the inaugural First Friday Arts Night​, sponsored by the Northfield Downtown Development Corp. (NDDC), the Northfield Arts and Culture Commission, and the City of Northfield. On Friday, June 1, arts performances and events will be taking place in venues throughout downtown Northfield, including a reading by local writers and poets at Imminent Brewing.  The reading runs from 5-6:30pm at Imminent Brewing. The reading will be followed at 7pm by a performance by New Orleans western swing band, The Big Dixie Swingers.

News Flash! Interview in 507 Magazine Posted Today

Tim took this photo of me today as I was thinking about next week.

I will be spending the next few days thinking about what to share on Monday evening at the Northfield Public Library, but today I would like to share an interview that reporter Anne Murphy did with me. It came out today in 507 Magazine, the arts publication of the PostBulletin, Rochester, Minnesota’s award-winning newspaper.

Postcard: Mother’s Day, 2018

I saw this lady cardinal yesterday from my kitchen window. She was gathering straw for her new nest. Tim and I plan to be in the garden today, planting flowers and vegetables in a sunny new bed that Tim cannily prepared in our mostly shady garden. If all goes well, we’ll have an abundance of kale and cherry tomatoes before too long!
