Yesterday in Northfield, Minnesota, several signs of spring converged. Only April 1, but we had a windy day of 80 ° Fahrenheit, followed by lightening in the west. I went to sleep with windows open, happy with the scent of ozone, the sounds of thunder and falling rain, the memory of capturing with my camera two vernal icons: the robin and the Siberian scilla bloom.
Here’s to the turn of a new season!
Best wishes, Leslie
Hi Deborah,
So nice to hear from you. I look forward to the photos of your magnolia! Leslie
I have little snowbells up in our back yard and I saw the first robins on Tuesday. This whole season has been a bit disorienting. It looks as though our magnolia will bloom well this year. I’ll send photos when it happens.
